ABOUT ME AND THE THINGS THAT I DO
I'm a graphic designer/developer living in London, England. I've been in the web development and multimedia industry for 11 years now and have experience over a wide area of digital practice. I specialise in flash design and development using both Actionscript 2 and 3. I also build websites using css, xhtml, javascript and php. I am also experienced in motion graphic design and video production. I produce animations using Adobe After Effects, and Flash.
Animating a storyboard, conceptualizing a visual identity or working out digital solutions to a company's marketing ideas, I enjoy my work and like to add a little fun to digital design. I'm organized, obsessed with details and driven by the accession of new skills and ideas.
In short, since my very first box of Lego, I love building things.
RECENT PROJECTS
Channel4.com/4Homes
Standard Brightcove video player but with a cuepoint advertising flash extension. 4Homes in association with B&Q wanted to be able to advertise B&Q products as they appear in 'Kirsty Creates...', a DIY show with Kirsty Allsopp.
Marks & Spencer TV
Re-working of the Marks & Spencer online TV player. Along with the team at Adjust Your Set, who were responsible for the original version, we continued development by introducing a popup player for embedding in key areas of the M&S website, and a syndicated version for embedding on social networking sites such as facebook. M&S TV features a Click-to-Buy function that allows customers to purchase what they see in the video.
RECENT LAUNCHES
BBC Embedded Media Player
Back in March 2009, working with the interface designers at Fjord, I built a flash prototype version of the new BBC Embedded Media Player in conjunction with the latest BBC iPlayer.
Thomas Pink TV
Working with Adjust Your Set we produced an online TV player for Thomas Pink, the Jermyn Street shirt makers. The video platform was provided by Brightcove and the player was built with Brightcove's new BEML markup language along with Actionscript 3.
Excel-Models.com
Modelling Agency founded by former model Allison Bewley née Bramwell in response to society's desire for more accessible fashion icons in contrast to the prevalent waif-like image.
Allison's brief was mainly concerned with simplicity and elegance.
